About the Role Psych Connect is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team.
You will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, helping them achieve their goals, build independence, and participate meaningfully in their community.
The role involves supporting participants with daily living activities, personal care, community access, and skill development while promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities Provide individualised support based on participant goals and needs.
Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, meal preparation, and household activities.
Support community participation, appointments, and social activities.
Assist participants with physical, intellectual, psychosocial, and developmental disabilities.
Implement positive behaviour support strategies where required.
Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation.
Build positive relationships with participants, families, and support teams.
Essential Requirements Current Queensland Driver Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
Experience supporting people with disability, complex behaviours, or mental health needs.
Understanding of person-centred and positive behaviour support practices.
Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends.
Desirable Qualifications Experience Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or similar.
Experience supporting participants with restrictive practices.
Experience with personal care, medication support, and manual handling.
Knowledge of NDIS processes and documentation.
Experience supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
