Practitioner with the DOORS requirements management software.
Requirement development and management.
VCRM development and management.
Development of V V plans/procedures.
Review of V V procedures to confirm test cases validate the project requirements.
Design documents and specialist engineering reports.
Engineering plans/procedures/ reports.
Hazard analyses and reports.
Certification.
Contract documentation, plans and reports.
A qualified practitioner with higher degree qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
Extensive industry and specialty experience in electrical engineering and systems integration including integration on maritime platforms.
Comply with ITARs requirements.
Experience with RF environments and wireless communications in contested communications or electronic warfare domains.
Experience in digital communications protocols and signal conversion techniques.
Experience driving processes and process improvements, including continuous improvement methodologies.
SFIA Skills Sought: The design of systems to meet specified requirements, compatible with agreed systems architectures, adhering to corporate standards and within constraints of performance and feasibility.
The identification of concepts and their translation into a design which forms the basis for systems construction and verification.
The design or selection of components.
The development of a complete set of detailed models, properties, and/or characteristics described in a form suitable for implementation.
The adoption and adaptation of systems design lifecycle models based on the context of the work and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven)
approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
The planning, implementation and control of activities to integrate/build components, subsystems and interfaces to create operational systems, products or services for delivery to customers, or for internal or interim purposes such as testing.
The development of organisational capabilities for systems integration and build including automation and continuous integration.
DESN Level 4: Designs components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
Identifies and evaluates alternative design options and trade-offs.
Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements.
Models, simulates or prototypes the behaviour of proposed systems components to enable approval by stakeholders.
Produces detailed design specification to form the basis for construction of systems.
Reviews, verifies and improves own designs against specifications.
SINT Level 4: Provides technical expertise to enable the configuration of software, other system components and equipment for systems testing.
Collaborates with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and report on progress.
Defines complex/recent integration builds.
Ensures that integration test environments are correctly configured.
Designs, performs and reports results of tests of the integration build.
Identifies and documents system integration components for recording in the configuration management system.
Recommends and implements improvements to processes and tools.
