We are seeking an experienced
EL 2 Senior Manager, Work Health and Safety
to join our client's WHS team. This role will be integral in fostering a positive safety culture, ensuring alignment across departments, and driving continuous improvement in WHS practices. Reporting to the Head of Division, you will lead efforts to build a strong safety culture and improve safety standards across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead WHS Strategy
: Develop and implement a comprehensive WHS strategy to promote safety excellence.
Team Leadership
: Establish and manage the WHS team, ensuring effective operations and strong stakeholder engagement.
Collaboration
: Work alongside other safety professionals to enhance WHS practices throughout the organisation.
Compliance & Best Practices
: Ensure adherence to safety standards, legislation, and industry best practices.
Cross-department Engagement
:



Partner with diverse teams in business operations, including science demonstrations and public exhibits.
Foster High-Performance Culture
: Promote a culture where staff actively support and contribute to WHS goals.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in workplace health and safety, ideally in public or private sector environments. Key skills and attributes include:
Proven leadership capabilities, with experience guiding and developing WHS teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to drive cultural change and proactively address WHS issues.
Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative team setting.
