The Team

Join a supportive and multidisciplinary Community Mental Health team committed to delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care across the community. Working alongside experienced mental health professionals and community partners, you'll play an important role in supporting individuals, families and carers to achieve positive mental health outcomes.
The Role

As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will provide specialist mental health assessment, treatment and care coordination for a designated client group within the community setting. Working collaboratively with consumers, families, health professionals and community services, you will deliver evidence-based care that supports recovery and promotes wellbeing. You will contribute to a positive team culture, participate in quality improvement activities, support learning and development, and help deliver safe, effective and person-centred mental health services.
You will need

Current knowledge of and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal and ethical requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (ANMB) National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in mental health nursing including assertive case management, triage, holistic physical and mental health assessment, clinical risk management and crisis intervention within the community setting.
Demonstrated written oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment, communicate effectively with other sectors of mental health services and primary health care providers.

Details of appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that,



for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Current Driver's Licence
