$201,807 – $218,443 + Vehicle Allowance ($26,000 incl Super) + 12% Superannuation

Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) is seeking a commercially experienced Property and Development Manager to lead its property, land and development function during a period of significant regional growth.
About Us
Mid West Ports Authority is a proudly Western Australian Government owned Port Authority.
Servicing WA's Mid West region, it plays a pivotal role in facilitating more than 21.6 million tonnes of global trade each year supporting the growth of our region and connecting the Mid West to the world.
Currently operating the Port of Geraldton, Mid West Ports Authority is moving to a multi-port model to ensure that port options are developed to match the pace of growth in our regions.
While it predominantly operates bulk exports in iron ore, grain and mineral sands, its role in trade and tourism continues to diversify and thrive.
Proudly connected to Southern Yamatji country, its workforce of nearly 200 are largely based in regional WA.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this senior role will maximise the strategic and commercial value of Mid West Ports Authority's property and Fishing Boat Harbour portfolios while progressing land, development and acquisition opportunities that support trade, revenue growth and long-term port development across the Mid West and Gascoyne regions.
You will be responsible for:




Strategic property portfolio performance and utilisation
Land and property development opportunities
Property revenue, risk and commercial performance
Planning-supported development and land-use decisions
Government, agency and stakeholder engagement
Executive and Board reporting
Leadership of property, leasing and planning specialists
You will bring senior experience across property, development, infrastructure, planning or commercial portfolio management, supported by strong commercial judgement, stakeholder engagement and team leadership capability.
Experience in ports, industrial land, infrastructure, leasing, government development or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
About You
Key qualifications and experience:
Senior experience leading property, planning, land development, infrastructure or commercial
Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate property and planning activity into revenue, utilisation, risk and strategic outcomes.
Experience progressing property, land or infrastructure development opportunities from concept to decision
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and robust stakeholder management capability
Experience developing business cases, executive papers, Board inputs or strategic recommendations.
Experience with port land, industrial precincts, freight corridors or infrastructure safeguarding.
Experience with commercial property portfolio optimisation, leasing strategy or tenant lifecycle management.




Experience with statutory planning, development approvals or agency engagement
