We're looking for a qualified and motivated
Solar O&M; Electrician
to join our team and play an important role in keeping solar and electrical assets performing safely, reliably and efficiently.
This is a varied role that will see you working across everything from
residential and commercial rooftop solar systems through to larger solar farms
, along with a range of smaller commercial electrical projects.
Rather than being limited to one type of work, this position will suit an electrician who enjoys getting out on site, solving problems and working across different systems, environments and challenges.

About the Role

Solar O&M; Electrician

residential and commercial rooftop solar systems through to larger solar farms
, along with a range of smaller commercial electrical projects.

What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day work will include a mix of planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs and general electrical work. This may include:
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and inspections on solar PV systems.
Troubleshooting and rectifying faults across rooftop, commercial and utility-scale solar installations.




Working on inverters, switchboards, protection systems, cabling and associated electrical equipment.
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on solar farm assets.
Responding to system faults and helping identify the cause of performance issues.
Carrying out testing, commissioning and electrical repairs where required.
Undertaking smaller commercial electrical projects alongside the solar O&M; work.
Working safely around live electrical equipment and within established isolation and permit procedures.
Completing service reports, maintenance records and relevant documentation.
Working with customers, site personnel and the wider operations team to ensure work is completed professionally and efficiently.
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys the variety that comes with an O&M; role.
You'll ideally be someone who:
Is a
fully qualified electrician
with appropriate electrical licensing.
Has experience with solar PV systems and electrical fault finding.
Is comfortable working across both rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations.
Has a practical, problem-solving approach and can work through faults methodically.




Is confident working independently while also being part of a broader team.
Takes safety seriously and has a good understanding of electrical compliance and safe work practices.
Communicates well with customers, colleagues and site personnel.
Is organised and takes pride in leaving a site safe, tidy and professionally completed.
Is willing to learn and develop their skills as technology and the solar industry continue to evolve.
Experience That Would Be Valuable
Experience in some or all of the following would be highly regarded:
Solar PV O&M.;
Commercial or utility-scale solar.
Solar farm maintenance.
Inverter fault finding and diagnostics.
Switchboards, protection and electrical distribution systems.
Testing and commissioning.
Commercial electrical maintenance and small projects.
Battery energy storage systems.
Monitoring and remote diagnostics platforms.
You don't necessarily need to tick every box.
A solid electrical background, a willingness to learn and the right attitude are just as important.
