Are you an experienced Child Health Nurse looking for your next adventure?

We have exciting contract opportunities available across remote and regional communities in NSW, the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia, supporting children and families and making a genuine difference in communities where your skills are highly valued.

With contracts of up to 12 weeks, excellent rates and travel and accommodation provided, these roles are a great chance to experience a new location while continuing to do meaningful clinical work.

As a Child Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive, family-centred care to children and families across community, clinic, outreach and home-based settings.
Your responsibilities may include:

- Conducting child health and developmental assessments
- Monitoring growth and development
- Providing childhood immunisations and health checks
- Identifying developmental or health concerns and initiating appropriate referrals
- Providing education and support around nutrition, feeding, sleep, behaviour and parenting
- Supporting early childhood development and health promotion
- Working collaboratively with GPs, Allied Health, Aboriginal Health Workers and other multidisciplinary professionals
- Managing follow-up, recalls and ongoing care
- Providing culturally safe and respectful care to children and families
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and meeting relevant professional and reporting requirements
- Working independently and confidently within a remote community environment

To be considered,



you'll ideally have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualification in Child & Family Health Nursing
- Recent experience working in Child & Family Health
- Strong skills in developmental and child health assessments
- Experience with immunisations, growth monitoring and health promotion
- Excellent clinical assessment and care-planning skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote or regional environment
- A flexible, adaptable and resilient approach
- Commitment to providing culturally safe, child- and family-centred care
- Current driver's licence and relevant checks

Remote or Aboriginal community health experience is highly regarded, but we are also interested in hearing from experienced CHNs who are looking to take on their first remote contract.
