The Prospect
We're seeking an experienced SME Business Packages Team Leader to lead a high-performing team of underwriters while supporting the successful delivery of portfolio objectives across our Business Packages portfolio.
This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of Australia's leading SME insurance businesses. You'll combine people leadership, underwriting expertise, portfolio management and broker engagement to help deliver profitable growth and outstanding customer outcomes.
As automation and straight-through processing continue to increase, the role of the underwriter is evolving. This position will play an important role in helping underwriters adapt to that future, spending more time on broker engagement, portfolio management, customer outcomes and complex risk decisions, while continuing to maintain strong underwriting discipline.

We're an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries, which means we're big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact.
It's an exciting time. We're building momentum towards our vision of becoming the most consistent and innovative risk partner in the market.
What if you could have a positive impact, at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you'll work alongside people who are passionate, talented and committed to making a difference.
