Arla’s in-house agency, The Barn, kicked off in 2019 to help our global and local brands win in an increasingly complex media world. These days, we’ve got solid teams across campaign development and media strategy across multiple countries. We work cross‑discipline, stay curious, and let the data guide us to real results.
You’ll work side-by-side with specialists in strategy, planning and media buying, while playing a hands-on role in bringing campaigns to life. As part of the local Arla team, you’ll work closely with brand managers and the broader marketing team, giving you exposure beyond media buying and the opportunity to contribute to the wider marketing agenda. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across creative production, data, tech and creative development.
Here's the essence of your new job
You’ll back best-in-class digital campaigns for Arla brands across Australia and New Zealand - Lurpak, Castello, Arla Protein - reporting into the ANZ Media Lead.
The gig is all about driving best-in-class paid media, turning global strategy into local impact, and lifting performance, brand growth and ROI. Paid is at the heart of the role, with the opportunity to broaden your experience across the wider media ecosystem — including owned and earned media, influencer activity and local content creation. Plus, there’s the good stuff solid vibes, a young and ambitious crew, and plenty of non-work fun.
What you’ll be up to
- Execute and optimize paid media across social (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok), programmatic DOOH (Vistar Media), and digital video (YouTube, BVOD/SVOD).
- Set up and manage campaigns in DV360, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads Manager,
and the Vistar Media DSP.
- Team up with external partners to shape sharp media plans, nail creative, and keep the performance rolling.
- Keep tabs on performance and project status; report KPIs clearly to the team and cross‑functional mates. Make sure targeting, assets, tracking, and brand safety are on point; manage flighting, pacing, and day‑to‑day tweaks.
- Sync with global Barn teams to pinch best practice, share insights, and plug into the test‑and‑scale agenda. Run structured experiments (creative, audiences, bidding, formats), document what worked, and scale it locally and globally.
Can you tick these off?
- You’re a proper team player - happy working across cultures and time zones, and you help keep the vibe positive, inclusive, and collaborative.
- You’re transparent and confident in how you communicate, comfortable presenting, and you work closely with key stakeholders across the business.
- You’ve run media buying and campaign-level planning in-house or at an agency, and you’re across the digital ad stack - Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Programmatic DOOH (Vistar Media), YouTube, and BVOD/SVOD.
- You know your way around reporting on the key platforms, and you get the KPIs - from CPM and CPC to cost per ThruPlay and cost per lifted user - plus what they actually mean and when to use which.
- You’re a go‑doer who can juggle multiple stakeholders, run several projects and markets at once, and shift gears as priorities change - while listening, learning, and keeping things moving.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years’ solid experience in digital media buying (extra kudos if it’s in FMCG/CPG or a local Aussie/New Zealand agency).
- Robust platform know‑how and best practice across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Programmatic DOOH (Vistar Media), YouTube, and BVOD/SVOD.
- Confident running campaigns end‑to‑end, analyzing performance, and turning insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Working knowledge of the Australian media market.
- Excellent written and verbal English; other languages are a bonus.
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience working with creators and influencers is a plus, with opportunities to help shape and activate creator-led campaigns alongside paid media.
