We are looking for a passionate, capable and reliable Certificate III or Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our established long day care service in regional NSW. We are looking for more than someone who simply meets ratio requirements. We want an educator who genuinely enjoys working with children, takes pride in their role and is willing to be an active, reliable and positive member of a professional team.
Key responsibilities
- Work confidently in a long day care environment
- Take ownership of your role and responsibilities
- Work independently and use initiative
- Notice what needs doing and get involved
- Problem-solve before immediately handing everything to management
- Remain calm, patient and professional when managing challenging behaviours
- Build positive relationships with children
- Maintain clear and consistent boundaries
- Follow agreed strategies and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Support colleagues and contribute to a solid team
About you
- Certificate III or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care recognised in Australia
- Current Working with Children Check
- Child safety training
- Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis/Asthma training or willingness to obtain/update
- A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing
- Ability to work effectively as part of a professional team
- Reliable, organised and accountable
- Asks questions and seeks clarification when unsure
- Takes responsibility for mistakes and is willing to learn from them
- Experience working in Australian long day care (highly desirable)
