Our client, Glencore Mount Isa Mines, is seeking an experienced Supervisor Hoisting & Shaft Asset Maintenance to join the George Fisher Mine Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance & Operations, this is a outstanding opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to provide visible supervision across the George Fisher Mine, with responsibility for the safety, performance and continuous improvement of the team maintaining critical Hoisting and Shaft Assets. Located in the heart of Queensland's northwest, Mount Isa provides the opportunity to build a rewarding career within a global mining and metals business.

The Opportunity
Working closely with maintenance, reliability, operations and engineering teams, you will provide visible leadership across the Hoisting and Shaft Assets team.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective execution of maintenance activities, compliance with weekly schedules and established KPIs, while driving team performance, asset reliability and continuous improvement across these critical underground mining assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide visible safety leadership across George Fisher Mine and ensure the health and safety of the Hoisting and Shaft Assets team.
- Ensure compliance with the weekly maintenance schedule,



established KPIs and forecast costs.
- Communicate accurate and relevant information and insights to line management regarding daily performance and progress against the weekly schedule.
- Develop a positive team culture aligned with Glencore values through mentoring, coaching and building employee competency.
- Provide visible leadership and ensure compliance with GFM policies, standards and procedures across the Hoisting and Shaft Assets team.
- Optimise assigned resources and drive continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, reliability and operational teams to support effective asset performance.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement across the maintenance team.

Experience Required
The successful applicant will have:

- Electrical Trade Qualification and/or Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant
- 5+ years' experience within maintenance infrastructure, with Hoisting Systems experience highly desirable.
- Hold a valid Queensland Electrical Work Licence or be able to obtain one
- At least 5 years' experience leading people and maintenance teams.
- Strong understanding of asset maintenance systems and processes.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of underground mining systems, processes and their interrelationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements relevant to underground mining.
- Knowledge of financial management and analytics.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance leadership, safety and continuous improvement.
