About the role

This is a unique customer-facing technical role that sits at the front end of the business, translating customer requirements into practical, cost-effective, and technically sound power generation solutions. You'll work closely with customers, sales teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop generator solutions, provide technical expertise, support major opportunities and assist with parts and aftermarket requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Engage directly with customers to understand applications, operating requirements and site conditions

- Participate in customer meetings, site visits and technical discussions

- Develop practical, fit-for-purpose solutions that balance performance, compliance and commercial outcomes

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Size and specify generators for a wide range of applications

- Determine appropriate breaker sizing, protection systems and electrical configurations

- Specify control systems, ancillary equipment and application-specific requirements

- Ensure proposed solutions comply with relevant Australian Standards and customer specifications

- Provide technical input into quotations, proposals and tenders

- Assist with parts identification, interchangeability and supersession requirements

About you

- Electrical trade qualification, engineering degree,



or equivalent experience within electrical or power generation applications

- Demonstrated experience specifying and sizing generators, electrical protection systems and related equipment

- Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills

- Ability to explain technical concepts in practical, commercial language

- Sound commercial judgement and problem-solving capability

- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, parts manuals and technical documentation

- Working knowledge of relevant Australian electrical standards

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally as required
