This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency
Aveley Secondary College (SC) opened in 2018 and is a large secondary school catering for students from Year 7 to 12 in Perth’s Swan Valley. The Role
Aveley Secondary College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Media/Photography Teacher to join our collaborative Arts team.
The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality Media teaching and learning programs that engage students and support them to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.
We are seeking a teacher who ideally can:
- Build positive relationships with students and create inclusive and engaging learning environments;
- Display a commitment to our signature pedagogy of Explicit Direct Instruction;
- Show strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum in Media and Graphic Design & Photography;
- Uses assessment and feedback to support student progress and differentiate learning to meet student needs;
- Show experience to teach lower school Media/Photography and Year 11 & 12 Design Photography are desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will display a commitment to high expectations, reflective practice and continuous improvement. They will be supported by an experienced and cooperative team, with access to quality curriculum resources, professional learning opportunities and a strong culture of shared practice.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
