As a Senior Service Field Technician (Mechanical) at Wine Industry Services, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and repairing essential Automatic line equipment used in the Beverage and packaging industries. This is a full-time wages position based on a 40 hour week, based in Golden Grove, SA 5125, with overtime and interstate and overseas travel.

What you'll be doing
- Installation and commissioning of automatic Bottling & Packaging equipment.
- Ensure all machinery is installed according to OEM's specifications and Australian safety standards.
- Willingness to travel to various client locations for installations and services, and occasional overseas trips.
- Provide routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Train client staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Provide remote and on-site support for equipment issues.
- Maintain records of service visits and prepare reports.
- Ensure adherence to Australian safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with our Companies Sales & Project teams to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Foster strong client relationships and address inquiries.
- Track spare parts and manage procurement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to process enhancements.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical.
- The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- A strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
What we're looking for
- Engineering Mechanical qualification with a background in beverage and production lines an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Service Technician, within the beverage industry an advantage.
- Strong technical skills and ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial equipment.
- A good working knowledge Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint (essential).
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint is essential.
- CAD 2D (advantageous).
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overseas trips which are fully paid.
- A full drivers licence for the use of the company car.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Moving costs from interstate can be paid to an agreed value.
