About the Team

The Mission Software Solutions business delivers customized and off-the-shelf software solutions to Defence, Intelligence and other Government sectors.
The business also builds capabilities that can be used for a wide range of applications in both traditional and non-traditional environments; providing leadership in the advancement of technological modernisation of complex enterprises within Government.
The Opportunity
As a Cloud Operations Administrator, you'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising secure cloud environments that support critical customer missions. Working alongside engineering, cyber security and customer stakeholders, you'll help ensure cloud services remain reliable, secure and resilient while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our cloud capabilities.
- Administer and support secure Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, security and operational stability across customer platforms.
- Manage incidents, problems and changes in complex production environments, applying a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational efficiency through automation, leveraging scripting, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices to improve consistency, reliability and scalability.
- Partner with technical teams and customers to deliver secure, compliant and resilient cloud services, supporting patching, remediation and governance activities across the cloud estate.
About You
You are an experienced cloud operations professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving service reliability and working collaboratively in secure, mission-critical environments. You bring a practical approach to cloud administration and automation, with a focus on delivering reliable outcomes for customers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience administering Azure, AWS or comparable cloud platforms in operational or production environments.
- Experience working with cloud networking, compute, storage and identity services.
- Experience monitoring cloud environments, responding to incidents and resolving complex technical issues.
- Capability in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code solutions including Terraform, ARM or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and up-to-date cloud operating models.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, cyber security specialists and customer stakeholders in secure environments.
Advantageous Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks and remediation processes.
- Experience implementing operational improvements and automation initiatives within cloud platforms.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and enterprise-scale cloud operations.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen who holds an active NV1 Security Clearance (NV2 preferred) accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
