Food Technologist - Maternity Leave Contract

About the Company: Our client is an established food manufacturer producing pastry, ready meals, slow-cooked products, soups and salads for major Australian retailers.

n

About the Role: This full-time 9-monthmaternity leave contract will support the NPD team through the later stages of product development, with a focus on soups, meals and salads.

n

You will manage smaller NPD projects, coordinate factory trials and ensure products are successfully handed over to production.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Coordinating factory-scale trials and product launches
n
- Liaising with production, operations, QA and chefs
n
- Preparing factory recipes, batch sheets and production handover documents
n
- Developing photo standards, quality guides and manufacturing instructions
n
- Supporting first production runs and troubleshooting scale-up issues
n
- Completing product specifications,



trial reports and launch documentation

About You:

n

n
- Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
n
- 2+ years of food manufacturing or NPD experience
n
- Experience coordinating factory trials and product scale-up
n
- Strong technical documentation and production handover skills
n
- Experience with short-shelf-life, chilled or meat products is highly regarded
n
- Adaptable, hands-on and willing to learn
n
