We are partnering with an established Australian organisation seeking an experienced Workplace Technology Lead to strengthen its end‐user technology and support capability during an important period of transition.

This is a broad leadership role spanning service desk operations, workplace engineering and the overall employee technology experience. You will lead a multidisciplinary internal team and ensure the organisation receives dependable, responsive and customer‐focused technology support.

The role will initially be engaged on a contract basis, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment.

The opportunity
n
You will take ownership of service desk and workplace technology delivery across a 24x7 support environment. Your remit will include end‐user support, endpoint services, collaboration technology, device management and relationships with key technology partners.
n
Working closely with technology leaders and business stakeholders, you will improve service performance, develop team capability and create a more consistent and effective workplace technology experience.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a blended technology support team.
n
- Oversee service desk and workplace technology delivery.
n
- Improve service levels, resolution performance and customer satisfaction.
n
- Strengthen operational processes, documentation and knowledge management.
n
- Align workplace engineering with service desk and business requirements.
n
- Drive standardisation, automation and service simplification.
n
- Oversee endpoint, collaboration and workplace technology services.
n
- Manage workloads,
service coverage and operational priorities.
n
- Provide leadership through technical and service escalations.
n
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
n
- Maintain appropriate risk, security and compliance standards.
n
- Build trusted relationships across technology and the broader business.
n

About you
n
You are an experienced workplace technology or service operations leader who combines strong people management with broad technical credibility.
n
You will bring:
n

- Leadership experience across workplace technology, EUC or service desk operations.
n
- A strong record of developing people and improving team performance.
n
- Experience leading an internal, multidisciplinary support function.
n
- Broad knowledge of endpoint, collaboration and end‐user technologies.
n
- Experience using operational metrics to improve service outcomes.
n
- A practical understanding of workforce planning and service coverage.
n
- Robust vendor and stakeholder management capability.
n
- A customer‐focused, pragmatic and collaborative leadership style.
n
- The ability to introduce structure and build capability in a changing environment.
n
