Seeking reliable weighbridge operators in Tottenham VIC!

- Located in Tottenham VIC (Western Suburbs)

- Long-term position with opportunity to go permanent

- Day shift Monday - Saturday (Must be available to work all hours between 6am and 6pm as start times vary)

- Pay rate of $45.90 per hour (including casual loading)
n

Programmed are currently seeking day shift weighbridge operators to commence ASAP with our client in Tottenham VIC who specialize in harvesting and testing Grains/seeds. The successful applicants must be reliable with strong attention to detail, and must be available for long-term work as this is a temp to perm opportunity. This is a day shift position requiring availability between 6am and 6pm as shift times can vary (6am – 2pm, 10am – 6pm etc.)

Previous weighbridge operating experience is preferred but not essential. The most important requirements for this position are reliability, work ethic, attention to detail, and solid written/verbal communication.

Duties and responsibilities:

n

n
- Responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing truck movements through the site in a safe, efficient manner
n
- Ensure the correct documentation of truck movements and support in the sampling and testing of the incoming seeds
n
- Weighing and documentation of all site vehicle movements
n
- Will be working on the bridge across 6 computer screens, 2 two way radios (dealing with up to 30 trucks a day)
n
- Assist truck drivers in oil and meal loadout
n
- Issue sample containers for all outgoing loads
n




- Induction of new truck drivers and ensuring drivers are complying to site safety and PPE standards
n
- Troubleshooting problems in the seed receival, elevator and meal loadout areas
n
- Adhere to work and safety instructions and take an active role in contributing to building a safety culture
n
- Some occasional Saturday work required which is rotated between the weighbridge operators.

Skills / Experience required:

n

n
- Previous experience in a weighbridge or similar role is preferred but not essential
n
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
n
- Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
n
- Strong organizational & communication skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure
n
- Forklift and Front-End Loader certificate of competency is preferred or ability to obtain within 3 months with onsite training provided
n
- Ability to work at heights
n
- Provide excellent customer service to our delivering customers
n
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritize tasks
n
