The Role
n
QEST Infrastructure established a new depot in Luscombe, Queensland in late 2024, with our team and fleet continuing to grow, we have an exciting prospect for a Junior Fleet Manager - QLD to join the team in this newly created role.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and develop their fleet management skills within a supportive and growing organisation. Working closely with the Queensland leadership and Operations team, and supported by our experienced Fleet and Equipment team based in Geelong, Victoria, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of our fleet and equipment operations.

In particular, this roll will focus on:
n
n
- Assist with coordinating fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs through a third party to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
n
- Support Operations to ensure vehicle availability meets operational requirements and service standards.
n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory and company requirements,
including HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), registration and roadworthiness obligations.
n
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of fleet systems, records and documentation, supporting the adoption of fleet technologies and digital tools.
n
- Budgeting & Procurement:support budget management, manage fuel card programs, and oversee lifecycle asset planning.
n
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with operational teams, suppliers and service providers.
n
- Identify and elevate operational risks, compliance concerns and opportunities for continuous improvement.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- 1-3 years experience in Experience in fleet coordination, transport operations, maintenance planning, asset management or a similar role.
n
- A mechanical background in Heavy Machinery
n
- Sound knowledge of Australian transport legislation, including Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
n
- A strong focus on safety, compliance and operational performance.
n
- A genuine interest in developing a career in fleet and asset management.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
n
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.
n
- Australian residency with full working rights.
