Financial Accountant (Chinese Speaking) - 12 Months Fixed Term

We are an established & rapidly growing FMCG Company specializing in the importing and distribution of Asian food products to all major retailers in the Australian & NZ markets. An exciting chance exists for an experienced, proactive, and self-motivated Financial Accountant (12 Months Fixed Term) to join thisleading company in Asian food products, located in Sydney West.

This role will be reporting to the Finance Manager. You will also help be part of the team's efforts to drive change, improve processes, and increase efficiency.

n

Knowledge of Dynamics 365 will be much preferred.This position will be a 12 months contracted role, with possibility to extend or convert to permanent position.

Position Profile

n

The Financial Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely accounting, month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance and financial analysis. The role supports the Finance Team and wider business in maintaining strong financial controls and reporting.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

n

Accounting & Month-End Management

n

n
- Support the month-end closing process.
n
- Prepare month-end group consolidated reporting, financial statements and variance analysis.
n
- Monitor and review group financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
n

n

Financial Reporting & Analysis

n

n
- Prepare periodic, half-year and year-end financial reports, including variance analysis.
n
- Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
n




- Support cash-flow reporting and forecasting.
n
- Assist with other ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as required.
n

n

Tax, Payroll & Compliance

n

n
- Prepare and support FBT, GST/BAS, payroll tax and PAYG requirements.
n
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and company policies.
n
- Develop and maintain finance policies and procedures.
n

n

Audit & External Reporting Support

n

n
- Support audit processes and requirements.
n
- Prepare bank covenant and government statutory reports.
n
- Support general insurance, workers compensation and leasing matters
n

n

Skills Required

n

n
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
n
- Qualified Accountant and tertiary qualification
n
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and statutory requirements
n
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience advantageous.
n
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills
n
- Team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
n
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
n
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
