Job Description

A well-establishedvolume residential developer-builder with a strong pipeline of projects across Sydney is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join its growing team.

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for both estimating and procurement, working across the full pre-construction process from project pricing through to subcontractor engagement and procurement.

n

You'll work closely with senior management, project teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately priced and competitively procured.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets and cost plans for residential projects
n
- Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and scopes
n
- Complete quantity take-offs and pricing of trade packages
n
- Manage subcontractor tendering and procurement
n
- Obtain, assess and negotiate subcontractor quotations
n
- Compare pricing and recommend subcontractors for appointment
n




- Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
n
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and undertake value engineering
n
- Ensure projects are procured within budget and programme
n
- Coordinate the transition from estimating/procurement into construction
n

About You

n

n
- Strong residential construction experience, ideally within a builder or developer-builder
n
- Hands-on experience across both estimating and procurement
n
- Strong understanding of subcontractor packages, pricing and construction costs
n
- Solid attention to detail and commercial awareness
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
