The Opportunity

n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-profile Federal Government program responsible for delivering and maintaining enterprise integration solutions that underpin critical business capabilities.

n

Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in designing, building and supporting modern Azure-based integration services that enable secure and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems, and custom applications.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for an integration specialist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring others, and contributing to the delivery of scalable cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
n
- Build and support APIs and web services that enable data sharing across multiple business systems.
n
- Develop and maintain Azure Functions, App Services, API Management and integration components.
n
- Enhance and maintain Azure DevOps deployment pipelines and release processes.
n
- Collaborate with architects, developers,



business stakeholders and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
n
- Produce technical documentation, solution designs and architectural artefacts throughout the development lifecycle.
n
- Investigate and resolve priority production issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
n
- Design and implement data-sharing approaches across Azure storage platforms.
n
- Mentor developers and application support personnel to improve capability across the team.
n
- Contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning and delivery governance activities.
n
- Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
n

Required Skills & ExperienceEssential

n

n
- Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
n
- Strong experience designing and developing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure, including:
n
- Azure Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
n
- Azure App Service
n
- Azure Functions
n
- Azure API Management (APIM)
n
- Demonstrated experience building enterprise applications and integrations using:
n
- .NET Framework / .NET technologies
n
- APIs and Web Services
n




- Experience working within complex ICT environments and multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
n
- Experience with application lifecycle management and ITIL practices.
n
- Sound understanding of current and emerging technology trends and their practical application to business outcomes.
n

Desirable

n

n
- Experience with Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) including CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
n
- Experience developing and maintaining SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) solutions.
n
- Experience supporting governance, planning and delivery of ICT projects.
n
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
n
- Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications, or current study toward certification.
n
