THE ROLE

n

We are currently seeking a full-time Shed Hand to join our PM shift in Dandenong South, VIC!

n

The Shed Hand position will provide support to the warehouse department of Woodhouse Timber Company. Processing Lightweight pre-finished products in an easy and clean warehouse picking environment. Shed Hands conduct simple aisle picking while working in pairs, processing small order picking with an Early start - Early finish.

n

This role places a strong focus on contributing to our vision of being fast, flexible and frequent. A reasonable level of fitness is required as this role requires repetitive twisting, bending, lifting, stretching and manual handling. You will report directly to the warehouse supervisor.

Applicants with warehouse pick & pack experience are encouraged to apply, and applicants with a Forklift Licence will be highly regarded.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Uphold and abide by Woodhouse Timber's safety management system;
n
- Pick, strap and wrap lightweight pre-finished timber orders in a timely, effective manner working in pairs;
n
- Clearly be able to read and understand customer orders;
n
- Have legible/reasonable hand writing;
n
- Keep your designated work area clean and tidy;
n
- Assist in cleaning communal areas;
n
- Follow stock procedures as directed by the warehouse supervisor; and
n
- Undertake additional duties as and when required by your warehouse supervisor or management.

ESSENTIALS

- Must possess a great work ethic and willingness to work in a team environment;

- Ability to make sound decisions; and
n
- Ability to work autonomously.

HIGHLY REGARDED

- Prior experience in order picking;
n
- Previous experience with manual handling roles; and
n
- RF scanning experience.
