Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the worlds leading EPCM companies based in the Brisbane CBD. You will manage a sequence of engineering tasks at a high level to ensure delivery according to project schedules (including activities by third party contractors) and be the primary interface with customer for all electrical engineering issues on the project.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Deliver electrical engineering services that meet the client's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
n
- Proactive interest in leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools in day-to-day work.
n
- Drive workshare targets as per the Delegation of Authority.
n
- Ensure technical integrity of the discipline deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities.
n
- Provide technical direction, control and supervision for engineering and design on the project.
n
- Responsible for delivering electrical design deliverables within schedule and budget.
n
- Maintain electrical task and deliverables lists for the project.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications with a 4-year bachelor's degree in engineering majoring in Electrical Power or Electrical Engineering.
n
- Minimum 10 years technical experience in the oil and gas sectors or similar industry; including experience leading projects on a discipline level.
n
- Must have ability to work across multiple projects.
n
- Experience across all phases of engineering projects.
n
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
n
- Positive understanding and proven experience in: Equipment sizing, cable routing, equipment layouts, lighting design, earthing design, arc flash requirements and HV switchgear and MCC design.
n
- Control system interfacing and instrumentation.
n
- Electrical calculations required for design.
n
- Protection systems and relay settings (overcurrent, earth fault, motors, VSDs).
