An exciting opportunity for an experienced WHS Manager to join a well-established Tier 2 head contractor delivering large-scale and complex construction projects across the commercial, health and education sectors.

This is a chance for a hands-on, relationship-driven WHS professional who can operate at both a strategic and project level. You'll play a key role in shaping and implementing WHS strategy, systems and processes while working closely with project teams, senior leadership, clients and key stakeholders.

The Role

n

As WHS Manager, you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture across major projects and ensuring WHS systems and practices are effectively embedded throughout the business.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Develop, implement and continually improve WHS strategies, systems and processes.
n
- Provide strategic WHS leadership across major construction projects
n
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and senior leadership to drive safety outcomes
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies and project requirements
n
- Identify and manage project risks, providing practical and commercially focused solutions
n
- Conduct audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed best-practice safety systems
n
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

- Support project teams in achieving safety objectives while maintaining project delivery outcomes
n
- Provide regular WHS reporting, insights and recommendations to senior management
n

About You

n

We are looking for a WHS professional who brings strong construction experience and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Minimum 5-7 years in a Senior HSE role or currently in a WHS Management role
n
- Experience working on large-scale Health, Education or Commercial projects.
n
- Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractor environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, construction risk management and safety systems.
n
- Demonstrated experience implementing WHS strategies, systems and processes.
n
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or leading WHS professionals.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- A relationship-driven approach, with the ability to influence rather than simply enforce.
n
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the pressures associated with major project delivery.
n
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining close to project teams and site operations.
n
