Financial / Project Accountant - 6m contract

My client is a world-leading green technology company providing renewable energy solutions to enterprises and institutions globally, that is rapidly scaling their Australian presence, delivering large-scale renewable infrastructure projects across the country. Due to this growth, they are seeking a Financial Project Accountant to manage financial and project accounting, month-end and year-end reporting, operational finance activities and process improvements.
n Starting as a 6 month contract, this is a newly created role which will offer opportunity for career progression as the business expands.

- Proven experience in financial accounting and month-end/ year-end close processes
n
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and statutory reporting requirements
n
- Ability to prepare and review journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
n




- Experience in project accounting and cost management across multiple projects
n
- Take ownership of accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and accruals
n
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and maintain internal controls
n
- Prior involvement in audit preparation and liaising with external auditors
n
- Skills in financial analysis and variance reporting
n
- Understanding of cash flow forecasting and budget monitoring
n

Education / Experience

n

n
- Previous experience working in the renewable energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors (or similar)
n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
n
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar finance or project accounting role
n
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA)
n
