About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Adviser to deliver compliant, efficient, and value-for-money procurement outcomes within a government environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will provide expert procurement and contract management advice, coordinate procurement activities, and support strategic sourcing initiatives that contribute to organisational objectives.
n
Key responsibilities include
n

- Lead and coordinate end-to-end procurement and contract management activities.
n
- Provide procurement advice and guidance to business areas on compliance and best practice.
n
- Prepare and review procurement plans, evaluation documentation, approval briefs, and contract documents.
n
- Support contract management activities, including variations, extensions, performance management, and dispute resolution.
n
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with legislation, governance frameworks, and procurement policy requirements.
n
- Manage procurement reporting obligations, records, systems, and audit requirements.
n
- Analyse procurement data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
n
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to achieve successful procurement outcomes.
n

- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management activities.
n
- Solid understanding of Commonwealth procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
n
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
n
- Proven ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and provide trusted advice.

- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and accountability frameworks.
