KEY PURPOSE

n

The Aged Care Worker is part of the SydWest's Aged Care Team which is part of SydWest's Aged

n

Care Services Division. This position is responsible for providing individual assistance to SydWest's

n

Aged Care Consumers as outlined in their individual care plans. The Aged Care Worker role is a

n

crucial frontline role which ensures all consumers' needs are met and all services are delivered to

n

a Gold Standard.

n

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

n

n
- Provide gold-standard, respectful and culturally sensitive in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, flexible respite and a range of other individualised supports to SydWest's Aged Care Consumers
n
- Provide gold-standard customer service to all SydWest Aged Care Consumers
n
- Provide SydWest's Aged Care Consumers services consistent with Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission Policies & Procedures
n
- Adhere to SydWest's Policies & Procedures related to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own & others safety in the workplace
n
- Ensuring own and others safety in working within a community / remote related role
n

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

n

n
- Current driver's license and access to a fully registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle;
n
- Personal smart phone & internet access
n
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between Monday – Friday
n
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with a broad audience
n
- Knowledge and ability in supporting consumers from a Culturally and Linguistically
n
- Diverse Background
n
- Ability to work autonomously supporting consumers living within their own homes
n
- Current Australian National Police check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
n

DESIRABLE CRITERIAS

n

n
- Bilingual - Speaking Arabic is an advantage
n
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support – Ageing or similar
n
- Awareness of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission
n
