Contracts Manager – Telecommunications / Infrastructure

n An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a major organisation supporting telecommunications and infrastructure projects.
n
Working closely with project teams and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial and contractual support across project delivery, supply chain management, claims, variations and commercial risk.
n
This is a hybrid position, ideally based in Melbourne, with the office located close to Richmond Station.
n
The initial contract runs through to 31 December 2026, with potential for extension or permanency for the right person.
n
The Role You will act as a key commercial interface between project teams, clients and subcontractors, providing practical commercial advice and ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n

- Providing commercial and contractual support to project teams
n
- Managing commercial relationships with clients and the supply chain
n
- Leading negotiations relating to variations, claims and contract renewals
n
- Developing strategies for potential and emerging contractual disputes
n
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
n
- Supporting contract administration, policies, processes and procedures
n
- Managing subcontractor onboarding and preparation of supply chain contracts and work orders
n
- Supporting revenue assurance initiatives and minimising revenue leakage
n
- Ensuring relevant statutory and contractual compliance
n
- Working closely with operational, legal, finance and other internal stakeholders
n
- Building strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
n
n
About You To be successful, you will bring:
n
n
- 5+ years' experience in commercial and contract management
n
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive commercial outcomes
n
- Sound understanding of contract and construction law
n
- Experience with project commercial administration
n
- Demonstrated experience managing claims, variations, negotiations and contractual issues
n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running
n
- A practical, collaborative and customer-focused approach
n
n
Previous experience within telecommunications and/or construction will be highly regarded.
n
