What's the Role

This role is ideal for a qualified Boilermaker/Welder looking for the opportunity to work in a heavy fabrication environment supporting mining equipment.
n
You'll be responsible for the fabrication and refurbishment of components, including chutes and buckets, ensuring all work meets drawing specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
n
Reporting to the Leading Hand, you'll play a key role in delivering secure, efficient, and high‐quality fabrication outcomes while supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Impact
n
n
- Mark out, prepare materials and weld prep to required tolerances and specifications Fabricate and weld components including chutes and buckets to engineering drawings
n
- Carry out refurbishment and repair work on returned mining equipment
n
- Operate fabrication equipment such as rollers, presses, and bevelling tools safely and efficiently
n
- Perform welding, grinding, cutting, and drilling activities as required
n
- Complete production paperwork, time sheets, and technical documentation accurately
n
- Participate in pre-starts and toolbox meetings, contributing positively to team outcomes
n
- Promote a strong safety culture and report hazards, incidents, and risks promptly
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficient use of resources
n

You Bring
n
Essential
n
n
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
n
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker/Welder in a heavy fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment
n
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
- Experience with welding, grinding, cutting, and fabrication processes
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‐paced environment
n
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
n
n
Preferred
n
n
- Forklift Licence
n
- Dogman or Rigging tickets
n
- Working at Heights ticket
n
- Experience operating fabrication machinery (pressing, rolling, bevelling equipment)
n
- Robust problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
n
n
