Job Description

Innisfail Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 14 September to 11 October 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care setting, supporting a busy ED team while earning between AUD$55.65 and AUD$70.82 per hour. If you're an RN with solid emergency experience and the right certifications, this could be the perfect short-term placement.

Preferred Requirements

n

n
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
n




- Demonstrated experience with iEMR and FirstNet systems
n
- Formal triage training and competence in emergency triage assessment
n
- Minimum 12 months of recent emergency department nursing experience
n
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workplace
n

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (desirable)
n
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated ongoing professional development in emergency nursing
n
