PMO Lead - Major Technology Transformation Program

12-month contract | Sydney | Hybrid

We are partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation and are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to support a major enterprise program.

n

This is not a traditional PMO role focused purely on templates, reporting and process. The successful person will need to bring solid governance capability and a genuine understanding of complex technology delivery.

n

The program is fast-moving, highly visible and involves multiple workstreams, vendors, technical dependencies and executive stakeholders. The PMO Lead will play a critical role in bringing structure, clarity and insight across the program.

The Role

n

Working closely with the Program Manager and senior workstream leads, you will:

n

- Lead PMO governance across a large-scale technology program
n
- Maintain oversight of the integrated program plan, key milestones and dependencies
n
- Own and drive effective RAID management
n
- Coordinate fortnightly and monthly reporting cycles
n
- Support preparation of Steering Committee and executive-level reporting
n
- Work with delivery leads to understand progress, risks, issues and emerging impacts
n
- Connect information across multiple workstreams and identify downstream implications
n
- Challenge inconsistencies and ensure reporting reflects the true position of the program
n
- Translate complex delivery activity into concise, executive-ready reporting
n
- Support financial, planning and broader governance processes
n
- Help ensure governance enables delivery rather than becoming a blocker
n




- Provide direction and support to PMO resources
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who has operated in a genuine enterprise program environment and understands how quickly priorities can shift.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Significant experience leading PMO functions within complex technology programs
n
- Strong integrated planning, governance, RAID and dependency management capability
n
- Previous hands-on exposure to project or program delivery
n
- The ability to understand testing cycles, technical dependencies and delivery impacts without needing to be a technical specialist
n
- Excellent executive reporting and written communication skills
n
- Experience preparing Steering Committee, board or senior executive packs
n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
n
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and workstream leads constructively
n
- A pragmatic approach to governance, with the ability to operate at pace
n
- Consulting or large transformation experience highly regarded
n
