We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Services team in Australia .

n

Please note, no visa or work permit support can be provided for this role

n

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

n

n
- The Mechanical repair of LV, MV & HV electrical rotating machinery.
n
- Disassemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition aligned with QA procedures.
n
- Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
n
- Carry out Mechanical repairs to Shafts, Journals and Housings as required.
n
- Determine job status, work authorizations, estimate, description of problems/expected serviceability.
n
- Correctly requisition needed items from stores/purchasing, as approved by Supervisor.
n




- Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods AC or DC) i.e. NDT. Under supervision or as licensed.
n
- Repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies including: shafts, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, fans, end shields, bearing fits.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Experience in Mechanical fitting large equipment i.e., motors and generators;
n
- Team player

- Drivers Licence
n
