About the Role
n
We arelookingfor a Legal Counsel to join our Brisbane-based team, supporting Hewitt's global operations across the full spectrum of the supply chain–agribusinessoperations, processing,salesand our corporate offices.
n
Reporting to the General Counsel & Head of Risk, you willprovidecommercially focused legal advice across a diverse and evolving business. This is a dynamic, hands-on role partnering closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies to mitigate risk, support decision-making and enable business growth.
n
You willbe a true business partner,workingacrossthe full spectrum oflegal areasin our business. You willgenuinelycontributeto strategic initiativesand business growthwhile ensuring strong governance in a fast-paced,complexandglobal environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Providetimely, practical legal advice across business operations
n
- Draft,reviewand negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
n
- Identifyand mitigate legal risks through policies,proceduresand training
n
- Manage disputes balancing legal risk,costand business outcomes
n
- Support governance,complianceand strategic M&A; initiatives
n
n
About You
n
You are a commercially astute legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. With strong technicalexpertiseand sound judgement, you can confidently partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical legal solutions.
n
You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a broaderteam andbring a proactive approach to managing risk and supporting organisational success.
n
You Will Bring
n
n
- Demonstrated 2-4 years' experience in legal practice within a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment
n
- Proven capability in delivering practical legalsolutions andadvice
n
- Strong negotiation, criticalthinkingand sound decision-making skills
n
- Proactive approach to problem solving and an ability to think outside of the box
n
- Ability to build andmaintaineffective relationships with global stakeholders
n
- Current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility)
n
