The Chocolateries – Yarra Valley is recruiting for a reliable, hands-on Grounds Team Member join the team at our stunning venue.

n

The Role

n

This is a hands-on, autonomous role with responsibility for ensuring the venue is clean, safe, and ready for our customers, while also supporting our warehouse and facilities operations.

n

This position will primarily involve Saturday and/or Sunday shifts, making it ideal for someone looking for regular weekend work.

n

Your day-to-day work will include:

n

n
- Open entrance gates by 8:30am and complete opening, evening and closing check lists
n
- Set up safety mats and ensure the venue is clean, safe and ready for opening.
n
- Check and care for animals, including feeding, water and regular counts.
n
- Check docks, unload company vehicles, put stock away and maintain general housekeeping.
n




- Empty and change bins, collect rubbish and break down cardboard for recycling.
n
- Assist in cleaning the café and showroom.
n
- Regularly monitor the property, including animal safety, customer activity and safe driveway traffic.
n
- Complete other duties as directed by management.
n

About You

n

You'll enjoy working independently but also be a team player who is happy to jump in and help wherever needed.

n

You will:

n

n
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying up to 25kg.
n
- Be comfortable and capable of handling animals.
n
- Be capable of using equipment such as water pumps, compressors, mowers etc.
n
- Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
n
- Have a flexible, can-do attitude and be happy working in a fast-paced environment.
