We are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our Green Tree Frogs group for the remainder of 2026 and possibly into the future.

n

This is a part-time position working Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:50am–5:00pm, (approximately 17 hours per week).

n

You will be supported by our experienced Director/ECT, who provides guidance and support, with non-contact time included as part of the role.

n

The Green Tree Frogs group is a small, one-strand kindergarten program with an experienced full-time Co-Educator and part-time Assistant working alongside the ECT. Our kindergarten is well-resourced and has a large outdoor play area.

There are no Director duties associated with this position.

Key responsibilities

n

- Deliver a high-quality early childhood program for our kindergarten children
n
- Plan, implement and evaluate an engaging play-based learning program
n
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the kindergarten team
n
- Maintain children's safety, wellbeing and inclusion
n
- Work collaboratively with the Director and educators
n
- Complete required documentation and programming
n

Essential requirements

n

n
- Relevant Early Childhood teaching qualification
n
- Current QCT registration
n
- Current Blue Card
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
n
- Completed, or willingness to complete, required Safety Compliance and National Child Safety Training
n

We are a small, community-focused service where educators are supported to build strong relationships with children and families and enjoy a collaborative team environment.

The position is remunerated in accordance with the Gordonvale Community Kindergarten Enterprise Agreement, based on qualifications and experience, with an ECT Attraction & Retention Subsidy bonus potentially available to the successful applicant.

We are also happy to hear from ECTs who may be interested in casual/relief ECT work for the remainder of 2026 and into the future.
