Job Description

You will be responsible for helping lead the front-of-house team and ensuring the café operates smoothly, professionally and consistently every day. This role is ideal for an experienced café manager, assistant manager, supervisor or strong hospitality/retail leader who enjoys working with people, keeping a business organised and taking ownership of day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and supporting the front-of-house team
n
- Maintaining high customer service standards
n
- Helping manage staff performance, training and development
n
- Ensuring cleaning, presentation and operational standards are maintained
n
- Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
n
- Completing general administration and paperwork
n
- Assisting with food safety, compliance and record keeping
n
- Monitoring sales, labour, waste and general shop performance
n
- Helping coordinate promotions and new product launches
n
- Working closely with the owners, Head Chef and Head Barista
n

- Comfortable having difficult conversations when required

- Strong with administration and paperwork

- Confident using computers, apps and social media
n
- Calm and organised during busy service periods

- Commercially minded and aware of sales, labour and costs
n
- Previous café or hospitality management experience highly regarded
n
- Open to experienced retail managers, assistant managers and supervisors with strong leadership and operational skills
