The Opportunity

Based in our Coomera office, this is a hands-on and rewarding role where you'll support young people aged 15-24 to overcome barriers, build their skills, and create sustainable pathways into education, training, or employment.

Based in our Coomera office, this is a hands-on and rewarding role where you'll support young people aged 15-24 to overcome barriers, build their skills, and create sustainable pathways into education, training, or employment.
n
As a Youth Coach (TtW), You Will
n
n
- Build rapport with young people referred through Centrelink, community networks, and other channels.
n
- Assess participant's eligibility for the program.
n
- Manage a caseload through one-on-one coaching, group activities, online engagement and referral to specialist providers.
n
- Develop and maintain Education and Employment Plans tailored to each participant's goals, strengths and barriers.
n
- Collaborate with employers, training providers, and community organisations to connect youth with meaningful opportunities.
n
- Engage local employers to identify and promote sustainable job and training placements.
n
- Maintain accurate records and meet contractual requirements in line with Transition to Work (TtW) and DESE guidelines.
n
n
Please note - this is a 6-month initial contract with the potential for extension.
n
About You
n
You are proactive, personable and passionate about helping young people in their employment journey. You thrive in a quick-paced, people-focused environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.
n
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
n
n
- Experience in case management, employment services, youth work, mentoring, community engagement, or related field
n
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and communities
n
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach
n
- Understanding of local labour markets and the barriers young people face when seeking employment
n
- High digital literacy, strong attention to detail, and accuracy in record keeping
n
n
