The opportunity
n
Join our Engagement team in this fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2027 and help shape how GWW engages with communities impacted by major infrastructure projects across our region.
n
As Senior Advisor, Engagement - Infrastructure Project Delivery, you'll lead the development and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement programs that support a major infrastructure project.
n
Working closely with project managers, engineers, delivery partners and stakeholders,
you'll ensure customer and community voices are considered throughout project planning and delivery.
n
You'll provide trusted engagement advice, build strong stakeholder relationships, identify and manage community impacts, and help deliver meaningful engagement outcomes that strengthen trust, transparency and GWW's social licence to operate.
n
This role offers the opportunity to work on a complex and high-profile project while contributing to best-practice engagement across the organisation.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Develop and implement communication and engagement plans to support infrastructure project delivery and align with best-practice engagement principles.
n
- Provide strategic engagement advice to project teams, delivery partners and business stakeholders.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, community groups, local councils, government agencies, private landowners and other key stakeholders.
n
- Lead community engagement activities, information sessions and stakeholder meetings to support positive project outcomes.
n
- Coordinate high-quality communications materials across a range of channels and audiences.
n
- Analyse community feedback to inform decision-making and identify risks to customers and community experience to advocate within the business for positive customer outcomes.
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering engagement programs that build community trust and support project outcomes on infrastructure projects.
n
- Robust understanding of community engagement principles, diversity and inclusion practices, and working with diverse and hard-to-reach communities.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing content for a variety of audiences and channels.
n
- Ability to analyse engagement outcomes, identify risks and provide strategic advice to support business decisions.
n
- A qualification in Communications or related field and an IAP2 certification (highly regarded)
n
- A current Victorian driver's licence is essential as this role involves travel across our service region and occasional community engagement activities outside of standard hours and sometimes on weekends.
