Job Description

n
- Embed effective Line 1 risk ownership across Marketing and Product and Commercial functions.
n
- Partner with business leaders to identify, assess and manage compliance obligations.
n
- Strengthen controls, support compliant go-to-market activity.
n
- Provide practical risk insights that enable growth while meeting organisational standards and regulatory obligations.
n
- Accountable for Line 1 compliance advisory, control uplift, assurance coordination, issue management and risk reporting for Marketing and relevant Product and Commercial activities.
n
- Support business owners to design, implement, monitor and continuously improve key controls that manage compliance obligations.
n
- Support product managers in understanding their specific compliance obligations.
n
- Support the commercial team in understanding pricing and deal-making risk and escalation of specific compliance obligations.
n
- Support marketing and martech teams to manage compliance across campaigns, offers, claims, customer communications, and digital journeys.
n
- Coordinate Line 1 assurance activities over key controls, including control testing and issue identification.
n
- Provide risk support to the procurement and vendor governance program.
n
- Participation in business transformation programs and assurance and audit activities.
n
- Lead incident reviews and remediation planning.
n
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reporting for management and Board forums.
n

Requirements

n

n
- Proven capability in managing compliance risks within complex technology‐centric organisations
n
- Experience working with marketing platforms, digital channels, customer communications, data use, privacy-sensitive processes, automation, APIs and emerging technologies such as AI.
n
- Experience working in highly regulated industries including telecommunications, energy and infrastructure
n
- Knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment, including telecommunications industry obligations,



Australian Consumer Law, consumer protection requirements, privacy, spam, digital communications and complaints-related obligations.
n
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into business‐relevant risk insights and actions
n
- Robust analytical, problem‐solving and communication skills
n
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving risk culture uplift
n
- Experience working on complex transformation projects
n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Risk Management, Compliance or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in a regulated industry.
n
