This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our processing operation alongside maintenance and metallurgy.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Leading a team of 4 shift supervisors plus a gold room supervisor and utility crew
n
- Setting expectations and building a crew that can run the plant safely and consistently
n
- Leading day-to-day operations of our processing operation
n
- Coordinating operational tasks during shutdowns and keeping the plant running in normal operation
n




- Pushing improvements to increase safety and/or operational efficiency.
n
- Understanding plant issues and coming up with solutions with the people involved
n
- Being part of the planning and execution of plant upgrades and shutdowns
n
- Providing input into the annual Capital and Operational budget process
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A strong commitment to safety and training
n
- Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy, chemical engineering or a related field preferred
n
- Experience in gold processing operations
n
- Strong knowledge of processing circuits and equipment, including troubleshooting and optimisation.
n
- A background leading teams at supervisor or superintendent level
n
- A clear understanding of throughput, recovery and plant availability
n
- Experience working with maintenance personnel on shutdowns and upgrade work
n
- Confidence managing tailings and working within site environmental requirements
n
- A leadership style that holds people accountable and maintains expected standards
n
- Prior experience with an operation involving heavy mobile machinery (forklifts, loaders, skid steer, excavators) is desirable
n
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
n
- Solid skills across the Microsoft Suite
n
