Job Description

An exciting prospect has opened up for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing business based in Mascot, on an immediate start basis. This is a fantastic chance for a hands-on finance professional to step into an end-to-end role, partnering closely with the CFO and taking real ownership of the function from day one.

Key responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end financial accounting function, bringing structure, accuracy and pace to everything from journals to reporting
n
- Drive the month-end close process, ensuring reconciliations and journal entries are delivered with precision and to deadline
n
- Prepare polished financial statements and management reports that give the CFO and leadership real clarity over the numbers
n
- Manage BAS, GST and other statutory and compliance reporting with confidence and attention to detail
n




- Take true ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and safeguard the integrity of the general ledger
n
- Partner directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting and audit processes
n
- Bring fresh thinking to process improvement and system enhancements, helping shape a more efficient finance function

About you

n

n
- CA or CPA qualified (or well progressed towards completion)
n
- A proven track record managing the financial accounting function end to end
n
- The confidence and capability to hit the ground running and own the role from day one
n
- Immediately available or on a short notice period
n
- Sharp communication skills paired with a proactive, can-do mindset
n
- A genuine passion for continuous improvement and doing things the right way
