Key Duties and Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team within the designated department to achieve sales, service, and operational objectives in line with store targets.
n
- Oversee the delivery of a high standard of customer service, responding to customer enquiries and implementing service improvement actions where required.
n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and sales performance to identify opportunities and drive commercial outcomes.
n
- Plan and manage staff rosters within the department to ensure effective coverage, efficiency, and compliance with company guidelines.
n
- Manage the organisation and efficiency of stockrooms, ensuring compliance with company standards and health and safety requirements.
n
- Oversee the receipt, preparation, and replenishment of stock to ensure product availability and efficient shop floor operations.
n
- Ensure the effective management of sales processes, including exchanges and refunds, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
n
- Manage and support visual merchandising within the department in line with company guidelines and brand standards.
n
- Conduct regular team briefings to communicate priorities, sales targets, and operational updates.
n
- Monitor department budgets (sales, hours, productivity, and expenses) and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
n
- Manage the training, coaching,
and performance development of team members within the department.
n
- Support talent identification, onboarding, and succession planning activities in collaboration with store management.
n
- Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
n
- Maintain awareness of retail industry trends, product performance, and competitor activity.
n
- Complete operational reporting and documentation to support store management decision-making.
n
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment aligned with company values.

Skills and Experience
n
n
- Diploma-level qualification with at least two years of relevant work experience, or a minimum of three years' relevant experience in retail or department management.
n
- Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing teams in a rapid-paced retail environment.
n
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- Demonstrated experience in stock management, visual merchandising, and analysing sales performance to drive results.
n
- Ability to plan, organise, and oversee day-to-day departmental operations in line with business objectives.
n
- Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service, operational excellence, and compliance with company policies.
n
- Availability to work full-time (38 hours per week) on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
n
n
Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
n
