Job Description
Lead Project Performance on Major Construction & Infrastructure Projects
n
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our clients team, based out of Brisbane. This role will have the opportunityto be part of a National Project delivery into remote and local Projects across multiplesectors.
n
This is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and managing project controls systems that provide visibility of schedule, cost, progress, resources, productivity and project performance across major construction and infrastructure projects.
n Working closely with Project Managers, site teams and clients, you will deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis that supports informed decision-making and drives successful project outcomes.

About the Role
n
As the Project Controls Lead, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of best-practice project controls processes across project delivery teams.
n You will lead planning, scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting activities while ensuring project performance is accurately monitored, communicated and proactively managed.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Develop, maintain and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
n
- Establish project controls frameworks, governance processes and reporting standards.
n
- Monitor project performance against schedule, cost and productivity targets.
n
- Develop and maintain progress measurement systems.
n
- Prepare and present project performance reports, forecasts and critical path analysis.
n
- Drive Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and reporting.
n
- Support resource planning and workforce forecasting activities.
n
- Identify project risks, trends and emerging issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
n
- Work closely with project leadership teams to improve project certainty and predictability.
n
- Interface with clients and stakeholders regarding project controls performance and reporting requirements.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project controls systems and processes.
n

You are a highly analytical and commercially minded project professional who can transform project data into meaningful business insights.
n You possess strong stakeholder engagement skills and have the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify risks early and drive performance improvements across multidisciplinary project teams.

Essential Skills & Experience
n
n
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience.
n
- Robust scheduling, planning and project controls capability.
n
- Experience managing project controls on major construction, mining, infrastructure, energy, oil & gas or modular projects.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
- Strong understanding of:n n
- Cost control and forecasting
n
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
n
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
n
- Progress measurement systems
n
- Resource and manpower planning
n
- KPI development and reporting
n
- Performance analysis and forecasting
n
n
n

- Experience in EPC, EPCM or Design & Construct environments.
n
- Knowledge of schedule risk analysis tools.
n
- Experience with earned-hour methodologies and quantity-based progress measurement.

- Exposure to both greenfield and brownfield projects
