Job Description

Location: Sydney CBD

n Salary: Up to $160,000 plus super

An established Australian higher education organisation is undertaking significant digital transformation and is seeking an experienced Lead Architect to help shape its future technology landscape.

n

Bridging enterprise and solution architecture, you'll provide architectural leadership across cloud, applications, integration, data and security while strengthening architecture governance across the organisation.

Lead Architect

n
- Define and embed architecture governance, standards, frameworks and patterns.
n
- Lead solution architecture across major technology initiatives.
n
- Shape target-state architectures, technology roadmaps and strategic direction.
n
- Partner with integration leadership to evolve API, messaging and iPaaS architecture.
n
- Provide architectural direction across Azure, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and hybrid environments.
n
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with enterprise standards.
n
- Advise senior stakeholders on technology strategy, investment and solution options.
n
- Support business cases, tenders, procurement and vendor evaluations.
n




- Guide external architects, vendors and delivery partners.
n
- Mentor architecture team members and contribute to the maturity of the architecture practice.
n

About You

n

n
- 10+ years' technology architecture experience, including 5+ years in senior Solution, Enterprise, Principal or Lead Architecture roles.
n
- Strong Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture expertise.
n
- Demonstrated experience establishing or operating architecture governance.
n
- Robust enterprise integration experience across APIs, messaging, middleware and/or iPaaS.
n
- Broad architecture exposure across applications, data, security and infrastructure.
n
- Experience developing target-state architectures, roadmaps and architecture standards.
n
- Strong vendor, consultancy and senior stakeholder management experience.
n
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor architects or delivery teams.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or architecture certifications such as TOGAF are highly regarded.
n

Experience within higher education or another large, complex environment would be advantageous.
