An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced technology leader to drive the performance, stability and strategic evolution of a core banking environment within a customer-focused financial services organisation. This role offers the opportunity to lead a specialist team responsible for core banking platforms, payments, integrations, operational support and technology delivery. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical banking systems remain secure, resilient and aligned with business objectives, while delivering change initiatives that enhance customer and organisational outcomes.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the senior technology leadership team, you will be responsible for the management and ongoing development of core banking systems, integrations and related technology services.

n

You will lead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, manage operational support functions and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver solutions that support growth, efficiency and innovation.

n

This position combines people leadership, technology management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement within a highly team-oriented environment.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead and develop a high-performing Core Banking & Integrations team.
n
- Ensure the availability, performance, resilience and security of core banking platforms.
n
- Manage system upgrades, maintenance activities and vendor relationships.
n
- Oversee operational support, incident management and business continuity processes.
n
- Deliver core banking projects, enhancements and regulatory initiatives.
n
- Drive continuous improvement, automation and optimisation activities.
n
- Manage integrations between banking systems and internal/external platforms.
n
- Oversee APIs,



data flows and connectivity across multiple technology environments.
n
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
n
- Contribute to technology strategy, governance and risk management practices.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- 5+ years' experience in technology leadership, preferably within banking or financial services.
n
- Strong experience managing core banking platforms and business-critical applications.
n
- Hands-on knowledge of integrations, APIs and middleware technologies.
n
- Demonstrated success delivering technology projects and transformation initiatives.
n
- Understanding of regulatory, risk and compliance requirements within financial services.
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing and mentoring teams.
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
n

Experience within a mutual bank, credit union or financial services environment will be highly regarded.
