Join Our Team at New Care Services

New Care Services is seeking a caring, reliable, and compassionate Personal Care Workers and Domestic Assistants to provide in-home support to our Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) clients throughout the Wangaratta Local Government Area.

n

This rewarding role supports veterans to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while continuing to live safely in their own homes.

n

Available Hours

n

Personal Care & Respite Support

n

13.5 hours per fortnight

n

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
n
- Mobility support and assistance with daily living activities
n
- Providing companionship and social support
n
- Supporting clients to engage in meaningful activities and community participation
n
- Promoting health, wellbeing, independence, and social connection
n
- Providing planned respite support to assist family members and carers
n
- Assisting clients to remain safe, comfortable, and engaged within their home environment
n

Domestic Assistance

n

21 hours per fortnight

n

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- General household cleaning
n
- Laundry and linen changes
n
- Meal preparation assistance
n




- Maintaining a secure and comfortable home environment
n

n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A genuine passion for supporting veterans and older Australians
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A compassionate, respectful, and person-centred approach
n
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
n
- A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n

n

Qualifications & Requirements

n

n
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a related qualification
n
- Previous experience in home care, aged care, disability support, community services, or respite care
n
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Current National Police Check
n
