Entry-level Telecommunications Field Role

We are looking for motivated and reliable people to join our Communication Construction team as an entry-level Communications field role.

n

This is an opportunity to get into the Communication industry with on-the-job training and a pathway to becoming a skilled Field Technician.

n

About the role

n

You will work alongside experienced Comms technicians and learn how to safely and efficiently complete field works across a range of projects and locations.

n

Your training will include:

n

n
- Cable hauling, preparation and installation practices
n
- Use of cable hauling equipment and associated tools
n
- Optical Fibre and communications infrastructure
n
- Optical Fibre Splicing and Test Procedures
n
- Installation of communications hardware
n
- Commissioning and Integration of hardware and Comms Networks.
n
- Working safely around external Networks and within customer and Data Facilities.
n
- Following SWMS, site requirements and company procedures
n
- Site Prep and site management
n
- Completing job documentation and site records
n
- Working as part of a team to complete works safely and to a high standard
n

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
n
- Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work
n




- Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
n
- Can follow instructions and company procedures
n
- Works well as part of a team
n
- Has a strong focus on safety
n
- Holds a current driver's licence
n
- Telecommunications experience is not essential, training will be provided
n
- Previous experience in construction, civil works, electrical, telecommunications, labouring or similar work would be advantageous, but we are happy to train the right person.
