Location: Lotus, Highgate, WA

Employment Type: Full time, permanent (minimum 38 hours per week)

Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience)

About the role

n

Lotus is a premium dining / contemporary Australian restaurant and bar in Highgate. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to take on an operational responsibility for our front-of-house service and floor team.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Planning and organising the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including service standards and customer experience
n
- Recruiting, training, rostering and supervising floor, bar and host staff
n
- Ordering and controlling stock, liaising with suppliers and managing supplier accounts
n
- Monitoring food and beverage cost of goods, wastage and labour cost against budget
n
- Managing takings, daily reconciliation, banking and end-of-shift reporting
n




- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, RSA, food safety and workplace health and safety obligations
n
- Handling customer feedback and complaints, and managing bookings and functions
n
- Contributing to menu, wine list and promotional planning with the Restaurant Manager, Head Chef and General Manager
n

Skills and experience required

n

n
- At least 12 months' (preferably 2+ years') full-time relevant experience at management level in a restaurant, hotel or licensed venue
n
- AQF Diploma or higher in hospitality or business management, or equivalent experience in lieu of formal qualification
n
- Approved Manager's card / RSA (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
n
- Demonstrated experience in rostering, stock control, cost management and staff supervision
n
- Strong communication skills and availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
