Coil Steelsis seeking an experienced and drivenBusiness Development Managerto take ownership of business growth across Greater Sydney and regional NSW.

About the Role
n
Reporting to theNSW Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities while managing and growing an established customer portfolio across a diverse range of industries.
n

Key Responsibilities
n

- Build, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
n
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across Sydney Metro and regional NSW.
n
- Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits and site meetings.
n
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored selling solutions.
n
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and successfully close sales opportunities.
n
- Work closely with internal sales, operations, supply chain and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
n
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales targets.
n
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities.
n
- Ensure customers receive outstanding service and ongoing support.
n
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Previous experience in Business Development or Industrial Distribution Sales.
n
- Strong knowledge of sheet and coil products.
n
- Selling experience within the residential, industrial, manufacturing or construction sectors.
n
- A genuine passion for building customer relationships through face-to-face sales.
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
n
- A strong customer focus with a reputation for delivering on commitments.
n
- A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach.
n
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
n
- A secure employment history and a desire to build a long-term career.

Technical Skills
n
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
n
- Experience with Pronto ERP or similar business systems is highly regarded.
n
- Experience maintaining and utilising CRM systems.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
n
